shades of blue the water is, or how clear it is.

Opaeka'a Falls

It is hard to see but on the right side of the river is an

old Hawaii village. We couldn't go down and see

 it the day we were there because they were using 

it to film a movie. They apparently use it quite often

for that. Kauai has appeared in over 70 movies

and TV shows and yet it is never as Kauai. 

It can be anything from a deserted island to a South

American jungle to Jurassic Park. The meadow on

the left of the river is where they filmed the

opening scenes of "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Wailua Falls - they said these are the falls used for the beginning

of "Fantasy Island" which was also filmed on the island. (You can't

prove it by me!) :o)
